Cheryl Shea

She was preceded in death by her parents Norma (Garrison) Thomas and Irwin Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Shea; children, Caitlin Smith, Erin Garrett, Kieran Shea; and grandchildren, Isaac Smith, Rachel Smith, Lilly Smith, Rylin Garrett and Lane Garrett.

Cheryl was born in Kingston, NY. She attended SUC at Fredonia, NY where she studied vocal music and later received her Bachelor Degree in Speech Audiology and Pathology. She married Kevin Shea on February 8th, 1974 and the two just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year. She resided in Midlothian since 1991.

Cheryl was a lifelong member of church choirs, most recently singing and sometimes directing the choir at Bethany Place Baptist Church, now Coastal Church-Bethany Campus. She was an avid cook, quilter, pianist and loved entertaining in her home, especially for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Community Bible Study in Chesterfield County.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Tuesday, May 28th at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel.

The service will be held at Bethany Place Baptist Church at 11am on Wednesday, May 29th, 1501 S. Providence Road
North Chesterfield, VA 23236.

The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their nurture and care they have received this past week, as well as throughout the years.
