Constance Frances McConnell

Constance Frances McConnell passed away peacefully on November 27, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jane Kazmierczak, her sister Jane Kazmierczak, and her brother, Edgar Kazmierczak, all of Philadelphia. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ralph McConnell of Midlothian; daughters Stephanie McConnell Hornick (Dennis) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Jennifer Ann McConnell of Greensboro, NC and Amy McConnell Norman (Len) of Midlothian; and grandsons Matthew Thomas Hornick, Ernest Lendon Norman III, and William Watson Norman. Connie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Connie and Ralph made their home in Crofton MD and she was an encouraging force in all of her daughters’ academic, athletic and artistic endeavors and achievements. Connie was a talented artist, studying at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. She always volunteered whenever a creative hand was needed, whether it was banners for the local church, leadership projects for Brownies and Girl Scouts or costumes and ice-skating dresses sewn for her girls. During their retirement in North Carolina, Connie and Ralph enjoyed making new friends, traveling and entertaining. They also became avid golfers and Connie won several club championships. Connie enjoyed her family and the company of friends for many, happy years. There will be a memorial service held for Connie on Saturday, January 14th at 10am at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr, North Chesterfield, VA 23235.
