CLAYBROOK, Curtis Loving, 83, of Midlothian passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2011. A Navy veteran and retired Assistant Vice President and Division Manager at Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company. A longtime member of Bon Air Baptist Church, Curtis was born to the late Fred and Virginia Claybrook in 1927. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and three brothers and two sister. Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Emily Claybrook; a daughter, Beth Croxton (Billy); stepson, Shawn Wayland; one grandchild, Anne Curtis Croxton; one brother, Ted Claybrook (Betty); sisters, Vivian Foster (Buck), Christine Arrington, and Sandra Odem.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody's Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, in Midlothian. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with interment at Staunton River Baptist Church Cemetery, 2400 Ridgeway Rd., Brookneal, Va.
