Barden, David R., 93, of Richmond Va., went home to be with his Lord on May 30, 2015. Mr. Barden was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Irene D. Barden. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Harper and three step-children, Phillip Harper, III; Kathleen McNelly (Timothy) and Shannon Lovell (Glen). A son, Donald Barden (and wife, Kathleen) and grandsons Henry, John and William Barden. Mr Barden served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He was a long time employee of Gulf Oil Corporation and was a faithful member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church.
The visitation will be Wednesday, June 3, at Woody's Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be Thursday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to your favorite charity.
