STEPHENS, Doris Payne, 93, passed away peacefully, early in the morning on Sunday, May 12, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of J. Halford Stephens. She is now awaiting the return of Christ with a sure hope of the resurrection. She is survived by her three daughters, Pam Johnson, Susan Carson (Tom) and Rebecca Myers (Ed); four grandchildren, Jamie Warriner, Sara Tostenson (Scot), Montgomery Myers (Elaine), Taylor Carson; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Sam, Sadie and Sofia; and two sisters, Lois P. Hewitson and Janice P. Burd. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday (today), May 13, 2013, at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va., where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 noon.
