Douglas Macarthur Moon

MOON, Douglas MacArthur "Mack," 74, of Midlothian, Virginia, born on December 23, 1943, passed away on December 4, 2018. Douglas was a graduate of the University of Richmond and spent his career working as a CFO. He served honorably in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Lee Moon and Bessie Davis Moon. Douglas is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Moon; brother, Jimmy Moon; son, Jonathan Wesley Moon (Penelope Aguilar); daughters, Elizabeth Moon Gassner (Austin Gassner) and Marianne Moon Lee (Michael Lee); grandchildren, Madilynn Moon, Maria Moon, Alexander Moon, Hudson Gassner, Camden Gassner, Stella Lee and Nolan Lee; four nieces and nine nephews. He was a dedicated and dependable husband, father and grandfather. He had a love for family and bringing humor and joy into the lives of everyone he touched. He will be remembered in our hearts as "Douglas," "Doug," "Mack," "Dad," "Pop Pop." A Celebration of Life will be held at Reveille United Methodist Church on Friday, December 21, 2018, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
