Ellen Roach Price

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert K. Price, parents Leo A. & Willie P. Roach, brother Leo A. Roach, Jr., and brother-in-law Warren Reid Waggy.

She is survived by her sister, Constance R. Waggy, brother Jon A. Roach(Jane), sisters-in-law Virginia Roach and Judy Price, cousin Judy R. Jackson (Bill), nephews Michael Waggy (Marilynn), Jon A. Roach, Jr. (Christy), Jeffrey L. Roach (Mary Ann), Daniel A. Roach (Holly), Nieces Susan W. Gilkeson (Don), Rebecca W. Miller, Mary W. Bowers (Greg), Julie R. Washenko (Greg), and Jacqueline R. Arismendi (Charles), 22 great nephews and nieces, 1 great-great nephew, and 1 great-great niece, and a host of friends.

She resided at Sunrise at Bon Air Senior Living for the last 8 years, where she received loving care from their staff and also from Hospice Community Care.

Ellen graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1955 and the College of William & Mary in 1959, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, and was a retired Specification Development Manager in the Flexible Packaging Division of Reynolds Metals Company.

She was an avid tennis player at the Westwood Racquet Club, and volunteered at many places, including Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.

A funeral service will be held at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd. at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Blacksburg, VA on Sat. Dec. 10.
