Georgina Burroughs Field

Georgina "Jinky" Burroughs Field, 79, of Chesterfield, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Jinky was born on December 28, 1946, in Hampton, Virginia to Sutton and Rosa Lee Burroughs. As a military family, they moved frequently before settling in Windsor, Virginia. It was there she met the love of her life Rudolph "Rudy" Field. They were blessed with a long and happy life together, recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, surrounded by family, on December 11, 2025.

Once married, Rudy and Jinky settled in Richmond, Virginia. While Rudy established a successful construction business, Jinky raised their sons, Greg and Jason. Later, she worked as an accountant clerk for lnsource Solutions, retiring after 25 years. She loved gardening, establishing beautiful flower beds in their yard, reading, and sewing. Her absolute favorite role was that of Mom and Grandma.

Jinky was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Peggy Shifflett. She is survived by her husband, Rudy, her sons Greg (Lisa) of Yorktown and Jason (Victoria) of Willow Spring, North Carolina, her grandchildren Leanne Edwards (John), Emily Brookfield (Parker), and Nicholas Field, as well as her sister Faye Harris (Richard).

With respect to her wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
