Hattie Mae Stephens, 80, of Midlothian, Va., passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oran and Ella; brothers William, Willis, Rudy, William A.; son-in-law, Burt Taylor; and grandson, John Viar Jr.; and ex-husband, Thomas Stephens. She is survived by her three daughters, Mona Morris (Lee), Laurie Taylor, Lisa Riddick (Charles); five grandchildren, Trisha, Nicole, Tiffany, Robbie and Victoria; eight great-grandchildren.
Hattie was born on November 28, 1941 in Warsaw, Ind. She was a devoted mother, a member of the home economics club and avid reader with a love for music, the arts, world traveling, the beach and retired from Village Green Family Practice.
The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel,
1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, Va., on Sunday, April 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
