Born in Irvington, New Jersey and eventually moving to Richmond, with her husband, Peter, in the mid-1950s; she began her life as wife, mother, friend, career woman and later, proud grandmother.
Graduating from Lasell University with a merchandising degree, she started her half-long, century career in retail. As a sales associate, she worked for Gimbels and Macy's in New York City. Later on, employed by Miller & Rhoads, a buyer for Thalhimers and a merchandiser for both Hechts and Dillard's in the RVA area. Lynne concluded her career at the age of 92 with a 15- year gold star, employee recognition award from Walmart. She truly loved serving people.
She believed in encouraging women as president of the prestigious ABWA and was an active member of the Red Hat Society.
She fancied theatre, the Arts and enjoyed frequenting Broadway, galleries and museums. She also volunteered at the Mosque now Altria Theater, the Carpenter Center and at Maymont.
She was an avid reader and always had a "Style Weekly" on hand so that she could advise family and friends of what was happening around RVA.
She is survived by her three courageous daughters; Cynthia Ierardi-Lawson, Suzy Ierardi, Lisa Fulke and her one grandson, Hunter Fulke, whom she relished all with adoration.
Predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Marie Kovalinas; former husband, Peter and her daughter, Karen Ierardi.
Towards the end of her earthly stay, she felt comfort from holding hands and reminiscing with her caretaker and daughter, Lisa while watching old reruns of "All in the Family," "The Jeffersons," "In the Heat of the Night," and more recently, "Blue Bloods" probably just because of Tom Selleck.
She enjoyed animals especially dogs and looked forward to seeing "Walter the Weather Dog"and his owner Zach Daniel forecast the weather every evening on WTVR-CBS channel 6 for the last 7 years.
