James Alexander Haun

life at 2:30 am July 29, 2019. James was born January 23, 1928, in Bluefield, Va to his

parents, Addie Elizabeth Newman and William Alexander Haun. James went to live at

the Masonic Home of Virginia at the age of 12, after the death of his father. He served in

the armed forces medical corps during the end of WW2, earning a Victory medal as well

as an honorable discharge pin. James married his high school sweetheart, Teresa

Josephine Burke on June 7, 1946. James worked at Vepco, now known as Dominion

Energy, for 42 years. He was an amazing electrician, fix-it-all man. Gone before him

are: his father, mother, sister (Anita Jo Haun Cincioni Brewster), brother (“Buck” Andy

Haun), and many other relatives. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Burke Haun, and

his 5 children and their spouses: Vicki Haun Taylor & Arthur Taylor, Michael Ray Haun

& Peggy Haun, Terry Martin Haun & Elizabeth Haun, Marlene Haun Webster & Byron

Webster, and Kimberlee Haun Poore & Wayne Poore. In addition, James leaves behind

a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. The

funeral service will be held on August 5th at 2:00 pm, at Woody Funeral Home

(Huguenot Chapel). A brief graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial

Gardens on Patterson Ave. directly after chapel services.
