Jesse graduated from Greenbrier Military Academy. He served in the US Navy aboard the Heavy Cruiser Quincy during WWII. He received an Associate’s Degree in Music from Marshall University. Jesse was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church singing in the Choir. He enjoyed building model ships and time with his family.
Jesse worked in retail furniture sales in Richmond and Charlottesville, retiring from Virginia Wayside Furniture.
Jesse was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years Aelise Marshall French; He is survived by his two sons David Murrell Helm of Dunedin FL, Gary Marshall Helm of Midlothian VA
There will be a memorial service held at Trinity United Methodist Church 903 Forest Ave., Henrico, Virginia 23229 on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 1:00pm. Interment will be at a later date.
