

Jimmy Ray Davis, age 70, formerly of Booneville, MS, passed away on Saturday, March 31 in Midlothian, VA from complications of cancer. He attended New Site High School and worked in the furniture manufacturing industry for over 30 years. He was a member of South Prentiss Baptist Church and served in the Booneville National Guard. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy Farrar Davis of Midlothian, VA; his daughter Nicole Davis Helmantoler and her husband John Helmantoler of Midlothian, VA; his granddaughter, Ava Elizabeth Helmantoler of Midlothian, VA; his brother Edward Davis of Booneville, MS; three sisters: Evelyn Wright of Booneville, MS; Ivie Walden of West Monroe, LA; and Beverly Stockton of Lombard, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Leslie Davis; three brothers: Garvis, Gernice and Foice Davis and four sisters: Verma Stacy, Willodean Rutherford, Edith Stokes and Vera Bishop.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 10:30 am in the memorial garden of The Brandermill Church. A memorial service in Mississippi is being planned for this summer.
