FREEMAN, Mr. John Moore Sr., of Richmond, Va., entered eternal life on March 20, 2015, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his dear wife of many years, Mary Louise Chamberlain Freeman. He is survived by his son, John Moore Freeman Jr.; daughters, Anita Cheryl Freeman and Dera Darlene Freeman Taylor; sister, Mamie Jane Freeman Johnson; grandsons, Julian Dean Gilman Jr. and Justin Shawn Gilman. Also surviving him are seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Freeman was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, March 24, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Richmond, Va.
