John W. Yearby passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, John H. Yearby, and is survived by his wife, Kristin H. Yearby; mother Dorothy Yearby; sons Kenneth Nelson (Jen) and Robert Nelson (Serena); brothers Patrick Yearby and Richard Yearby; sisters Carolyn Woods and Yolande Taylor; grandchildren Zoe Larson, Lennox Nelson, Ellie Nelson and Marvel Nelson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
John was an avid sports fan, a beloved part of Rome Little League Baseball for 20 years, and a beloved grandfather to 4 grandchildren. The family will receive friends and visitors from 10-11 am on Monday January 16th, 2023, with a service following at 11 am at Huguenot Road Baptist Church, 10525 W Huguenot Rd.
