Jon was born February 24, 1997 in Richmond, VA. Jon is survived by his parents, Pamela and James Rodney Ellis, brothers Justin Ellis and Jordan Ellis. Predeceased by grandfather, Robert Hart. He is also survived by grandparents, Joyce Hart, Florence Ellis and Everette Ellis as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jon graduated from Monacan HS in 2015 and then went on to study Biology at UVA where he graduated in 2019. He most recently was attending Brightpoint community college studying nursing where he had just completed his 3rd semester of Nursing school and was employed as a cardiac monitor tech at St. Francis Medical center. Jon enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets. Especially the time he spent with his brother Jordan was most important to him playing video games, working out, throwing a ball of some sort around or just being together. Jon volunteered with the Charlottesville SPCA where he fostered several dogs and was an avid lover of all animals. He had such a kind, calm spirit.
Jon was the most genuine, sincere, loving and thoughtful son/brother/friend anyone could ever want. He was completely down to earth and not a lover of materialistic goods. He liked to keep things simple and was so kind. It is inconceivable to imagine how our lives can go on without him here with us. He was so loved.
Services will be held Saturday, May 17th at Woody’s Huguenot Chapel with visitation at 11am and services to follow at 12 pm.
