Chappelle, all of Chesterfield, VA; aunt, Tina A. Crawley of Richmond; uncle, Scott A. Plummer (Christy) of Prince George; and a host of cousins and friends.
Justin Matthew Plummer of Richmond, VA was born on October 27, 1981. He grew up in Richmond, VA and attended Richmond and Chesterfield schools. As a child he liked to follow his uncle Jerry everywhere. They spent hours putting model cars together and watching movies. Justin was the only child for 9 years. He was so excited when his little sister Tarryn was born. Justin loved the big brother role so much that he spent his birthday money buying his sister her first pair of shoes (Red Nikes).
As a teen, Justin loved all things fashion, loved to collect shoes, play basketball, reading newspapers and different types of books and playing video games. Justin loved working with his uncle Jerry. He helped him get his first job in a restaurant. When he turned 18, Justin wanted to rebuild his relationship with his Dad, so he went to live with him. Living with his Dad, Justin learned how to fix roofs, landscaping and helping his father's friend's business.
Justin went to live in Kentucky from 2018-2020. Justin really loved living in Louisville but decided to move back to Virginia to be closer to family. Once back in Virginia, Justin continued to work in restaurants. He attended Thrive Church with his mother and worked at Henley on Grace until his passing. He worked over 80 hours a week and was a great worker. He loved and learned so much from his manager William Wright. His manager, Will, named his kitchen after Justin and will install a plaque at the entrance of the kitchen in honor of Justin's hard work.
Justin continued to travel to Kentucky to see friends, collect shoes, jog and work out at the gym everyday, spend time with family and enjoy life until his passing. God needed a dependable and hard worker in heaven so he called Justin home on Sunday September 1st.
A celebration of Justin's life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10 am at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Midlothian, VA 23113. The family would like to thank Pastor Keith Rowell for his support and Thrive Church. Thank you to all our family and friends during this time of sorrow.
