Kathleen Hayes Wright, 105, recently of Powhatan, Va., passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John F. Wright. She is survived by two sons, David Wright and wife, Frances, of Powhatan and Edwin Wright and wife, Jean, of Greenville, Texas; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two nieces. Kay, as she was affectionately known, was born in Bealeton, Va., resided in various states throughout her life, and spent her retirement in Florida until her return to Virginia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
