WEBB, Melissa Barden, 56, of Richmond, passed away on December 9, 2014, after a 3 year battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary “Polly” and Maron “Mike” Barden, Sr.; and her sister, Mary Barden Copeland.
She is survived by her husband of 12 1/2 years, Glenn Edmund Webb; her children, Sarah Whitney Holt and her husband Brian Whittaker, Nicholas Scott Holt, Madison Anne Holt, and Joseph Edmund Webb; her brother, Maron “Mike” Barden, Jr., and his wife Diana; grandchildren, James Huxley, Olsen Henry, and Bauer Holt Whittaker; and many extended family and friends.
She graduated from Trinity Episcopal High School, and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. She worked for 19 years at Bank of America and retired January 2014 as AVP.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, Friday, December 12, 2014, at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
