Nancy Harrold Kohman

Following high school graduation, Nancy attended Chatham College where she earned a degree in education. Nancy met and married Wayne Kohman while he was working at Westinghouse in Pittsburgh PA. Nancy and Wayne raised three children while living first in New Jersey and then Connecticut.

Nancy had a lifelong passion for gardening that was passed on to her by her parents and grandparents. She also enjoyed time spent at the family lake house in New Jersey, at bridge club meetings and gourmet group gatherings.

Nancy was a preschool teacher for many years at what is now known as the Children’s Day School of Wilton and was an active member and Deacon in the Wilton Presbyterian Church.

Nancy is survived by her sons David Kohman (Kim) of Midlothian VA and Don Kohman (Angel) of Vernon NJ; her daughter Patricia Andrews (Bill) of Lynchburg VA; four grandchildren, Matt Kohman (Brittany), Katie Whitaker (Michael), Macy Andrews and William Kohman and great granddaughter Grace Whitaker.

A service will be held prior to interment at the Wilton Presbyterian Memorial Garden at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be sent to The Wilton Presbyterian Church, 48 New Canaan Rd, Wilton, CT 06897.
