

Dunnington, Paul Edwin II, 70, of Powhatan County, formerly of Bon Air, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Paul is survived by his best friend and wife of 46 years, Jane Bryant Dunnington and his loving and faithful son, Paul Edwin Dunnington, III. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Jerrie Orcutt (Garland) and Beryle Walker, as well as a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, John Porter Dunnington, Sr. and Hazel Wray Dunnington, brother, John Porter Dunnington, Jr., and son John Alan Dunnington.
Paul was one of the founding members of the Old Dominion Squadron of the Confederate Air Force, Bon Air Volunteer Fire Department, the Richmond Amateur Radio Club (KI4SZR), the Military Vehicle Association and the Military Vehicle Preservation Association. Paul was a gentleman. He was a wonderful and loving father and husband and loved spending time with his family. He was a man of many talents. He enjoyed many happy hours tinkering with cars, woodworking, electronics, radios or working with his son restoring military vehicles. Paul started his own business, Dunnington and Associates, Inc. in 1983, from which he retired in 2011. He was very successful and well respected by his friends and business associates.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia 23113. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation in Paul’s name to Riverside School, 2110 McRae Road, North Chesterfield, Virginia 23235.
