Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Henshaw; her son, Thomas Urso; and her brother, Grant Henshaw.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, David Tetterton; her mother, Ruth Henshaw; her children, Patrick Urso (Cristina), Charity Wheeler (Neil), Joseph Urso, and Alexis Sheffey (Cody); her stepson, Jonathan Tetterton (Kamilya); her brother, Frank Henshaw; and her sister, Jenneane Henshaw. She also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: David R. Tetterton, Jazmine Tetterton, Elsie Wheeler, Holden Wheeler, Piper Wheeler, Thomas Sheffey, Corwin Sheffey, Claire Sheffey, and Paisley Sheffey. Peggy’s loyal dog, Ella, was a constant companion and brought her much joy.
Peggy was a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission in her early twenties and later served again as an adult alongside her husband and son, Joseph. She found great joy in serving others in her church, her community, and in the temple. Her life was a reflection of her deep faith and her desire to lift those around her.
She was an enthusiastic fan of BYU football and basketball, enjoyed long walks, and had a special gift for making things more beautiful and leaving places better than she found them. Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, her servant’s heart, and the love she gave so freely to family and friends.
Peggy’s favorite scripture was: “And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.” — Doctrine and Covenants 84:88. May we all find comfort and peace in knowing she is surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4601 Bailey Bridge Rd, Midlothian, VA 23112, with the date and time to be announced. A virtual viewing will also be available to allow friends and loved ones from across the country and around the world to participate.
Peggy’s legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in all who knew her. In memory of Peggy, in lieu of flowers please donate to your local food bank.
