Peter Allen Heyl peacefully passed away on July 16th, 2016. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 29th, 1938. While visiting family in Richmond, Virginia, he met his wife of 56 years. He served in United States Navy for seven years. He owned his company, Auto Color, for more than 20 years and retired in 2014. Peter is survived by his wife, Betsey Richardson Heyl, and their two daughters, Robin Heyl Heinberg and Ann Heyl Swann (Bill Swann Jr), his brother Michael Heyl (Diane Heyl) of Glendale Az. and five grandchildren, Joshua Ulery, Lindsey Swann, Griffin Heinberg, Cooper Heinberg and Campbell Heinberg. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22th from 5-7:00pm at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Peter Heyl to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Richmond ASPCA or the Richmond Animal League.
