He was born on January 29, 1948, in Alexandria, VA. Bob was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert L. Hetrick and Virginia S. Hetrick and his devoted and loved dogs, Cooley and Toby.
Bob graduated from Woodbridge High School and went on to attend Northwest Louisiana State University where he received a baseball scholarship. He worked for the VA Department of Rehabilitation and Delaware Technical and Community College in Delaware, where he retired in 2014.
Bob loved the beach, boating, fishing, tailgating and attending many Redskins and Orioles games.
Bob is survived by his faithful and loving partner of many years, Marte Wallace; three sons, Troy (Joan), Brett (Beverly) and Richard; his grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua (Sierra), Chase (Gwa), Rebecca, Robby, Brian, Kyle and one lively great-granddaughter, Chloe. Bob is also survived by his brother Jeffrey Hetrick (Vivian) and his sister, Gloria Hetrick.
Services will be at a later time.
