Roger Alan Jones, 70, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston C. and Inez Chrismon Jones; and his brother, John Chrismon Jones. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Wagoner Jones; a niece, Carleigh Jones Joyce of Madison, NC; several cousins and by many loving friends. Roger, a Materials Engineer, obtained his undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees from North Carolina State University. After working with the Boeing Company and with Battelle Memorial Institute, Roger spent the majority of his career at AT&T, retiring in 1996. Roger was a member of Reveille United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery in Reidsville, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Citty Funeral Home, 308 Lindsey Street, Reidsville, NC. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
