Coleman, Ronald Hubert of Midlothian died July 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Susan: son, Mark; daughter, Allison, son-in law, Justin Gerbereux, and grandchildren, Riley, Sara and Kate. Ron graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC in 1965 with a major in economics and a minor in English. While at Furman, he played freshman basketball, was sports editor of the newspaper and played French horn in the Greenville Symphony. He served in the US Army from 1966-68 as a Lieutenant at Fort Lee, VA. Ron played French horn in the Richmond Symphony during the 1967-68 season and was a sports writer for the Richmond News Leader during the summers of 1968 and 1969.
Ron attended the Darden School of Business at UVA and received his MBA in 1970. He owned his own company, Business Information Group, which sold and supported accounting software. His great interests in life were classical music and sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. A private memorial service will be held later in August. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brevard Music Center, P.O Box 312, Brevard, NC 28712. Ron spent the summers of his high school years at this music center.
