DeWeese, Sherman Fredrick, 91, of Richmond, died Monday, September 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marie T. DeWeese. He is survived by one son, Jeffrey DeWeese and his wife, Kitty; two grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Kara DeWeese and Sarah and Sam Pozzuolo; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Chloe. Mr. DeWeese was a WWII Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Compton DD705. The family will receive friends at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Thursday, September 4, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
