Sonia Ivette Croke

She was preceded in death by her parents Dominica Vega and Angel Zayas and stepmother Joy Zayas.

She is survived by her daughters Yolanda, Melinda and Ivette; Three grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher and Zachary; five great grandkids; siblings Haydee, Carmen, Angel Jr., and Ricardo and half-sister Angela, and extended family of nieces and nephews.

Sonia was born February 24, 1946, in Cayey, Puerto Rico. She has spent the last 16 years residing in North Chesterfield, VA. She was here surrounded by her sister Carmen and extended close family. She was happily employed by Dollar Tree for 14 years. She made lots of friends and enjoyed every minute she spent with her Dollar Tree family.

She loved to take risks at the slot machines. She spent lots of time sitting on her porch with her sister Carmen drinking coffee and debating life. Her oldest sister Haydee made sure to call her daily to check on her. She will be more than missed. Words cannot describe the love she had for all her family.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at Woody Funeral Home- Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd Midlothian, VA 23113. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm.
