Syng Pyo Seo was born 1937 in Seoul, Korea. He attended the renown Seoul National University where he achieved a medical degree. He moved to America with his late wife, Mun Ja and pursued his career as a medical doctor. He became a very skillful psychiatrist. He attempted retirement for about 4 days and returned back to work, landing a part time psychiatrist position with his current company where he came to love the staff. He has said time after time, “I will work until I die” and he fulfilled this dream. Mun Ja passed away in 2007 and later married Jung Ja in 2009 with whom he spent 4 peaceful years together. Golf was his favorite sport. The grandchildren all have memories of driving a golf cart, eating snicker bars, and putting on the range with their grandpa. He had a great sense of humor and would often get us laughing around the dinner table. Despite his great accomplishments, he was a man whose many regrets in life drove him in search of God and brought him to come to grips with his brokenness until the day he died. His face would light up when sharing about God’s hope and love written in His Word. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Jung Ja, and 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
