Obituario de Thomas "Tom" Keller Stock
Thomas “Tom” Keller Stock, 49, passed away peacefully at his home in Midlothian, VA, on Feb. 22, 2021 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Stock. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kelly Gleason Stock; sons Patrick Thomas Stock and Ryan Keller Stock; father James Stock; siblings Jeanne Stock Gerhardt (Dave), Mary Stock Parker (Bert), Joseph Stock (Lauren), Joanne Stock Blough (Dave), John Stock (Angela); many aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Tom worked as a Senior Software Developer for Virginia Credit Union. Besides being a wonderful father and role model, Tom had a heart for service and volunteered with several organizations. He was a leader in Cub Scouts (Cubmaster), Boy Scouts (Assistant Scoutmaster), and helped lead many high adventure trips in Boy Scouts. He was very active as a volunteer for the Clover Hill High School and Manchester High School marching bands. Tom enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, and volleyball. He loved food, and was an amateur food critic. He was an avid technophile and was our family’s go-to geek squad. He had a love for learning, seemed to know something about everything, and would try just about anything! His personality, however, is really what made Tom so lovable. He could relate and connect with people, and one could say that he “never met a stranger”. He was a genuinely happy and cheerful person that always added the bright side to any situation. He turned adversity on its head and would meet it head on with an infectious positive attitude. He was always calm, cool, and collected and his favorite motto was “keep on keeping on”. He was so well liked because of his cheerful and positive attitude that his Boy Scout troop has created a Cheerful Scout Award in Tom’s name to Scouts who emulate these qualities. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 1st from 5:00-7:00 pm at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd, Midlothian, Va. This visitation is open to all friends and family that would like to come. Online condolences may be made at www.woodyfuneralhomehuguenot.com.
