Virginia Maye Dixon

after a brave year of battling cancer. She was born in Apex, North Carolina where at age 18, she met & married the love of her life and started a family. In the late 70's her husband was transferred to Virginia. In 1980 they founded Dixon's Auctions where she wore many hats and eventually retired as Vice P.resident. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who spent her life putting others first. She loved her Friday night poker game with her neighbors and best friends of 30+ yrs and going to Vegas several times a year where she loved to play the slot machines. Her favorite was ” Lucky 7” where she was quite lucky. She is survived by her husband of 50 years. Ed, son Billy & his wife Marsha, daughter Crystal, granddaughter Jenny & her dog LiL Rici , her sisters Odelle and Lib, Brothers Alvin and Sherwood. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, on Monday, April 6, 2015, at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113. Visiting hours for friends & family will be held from 12-1pm. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park 10201 NEWBYS BRIDGE RD, CHESTERFIELD, VA 23832.
