To define Kaye would be like attempting to bottle a ray of Sunshine or capture the wind within the palm of one's hand. She possessed an indomitable will, extraordinary tenacity and perservance and, above all, a keen sense of humor virtues That enabled her to overcome difficult moments and some as an inspiration for others.
She enjoyed a career in radio ( WRVA, WLEE, WCVE) for nearly 40 years where her creativity proved exceptional. At home in Chesterfield County, her talents as horticulturist( when she planted, always it flourished), landscape architect, interior designer, and culinary genius remain on display.
Yet above all, Kaye's intellectual capacity and curiosity were limitless; she was conversant on topics ranging from medicine, to the middle ages, extremely well read and her prose brilliant. Her love of and ability to speak with, both feline and canine pets was incomparable. Throughout, she believed her primary mission was to make others laugh, without exception she could coax the most dour individual to, at most an audible guffaw or at least a visible smile. Kaye's relationship with the whimsical is well documented... hope, that wasn't a heaven quake, it was God's hearty laughter... Kaye just flew past.
