

KELLY, William Edwin "Bill," 83, of Midlothian, passed away peacefully from his great life on December 2, 2010, surrounded by family. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his wife of 57 years, "Dottie"; their daughters, Suzanne Kelly Pallotta, Marcia Kelly Brunner and her husband, Jody; and sons, Jeff and Joe and his wife, Teresa; six grandchildren, Nick Pallotta and his wife, Morgan, Kristen Pallotta, Jennifer Brunner Roussell and her husband, Jared, Melissa Brunner, Kelly Brunner and Joey Kelly; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Jessica Roussell. Bill is also survived by his sister, Peggy McRae; and many nieces and nephews.
Born on March 19, 1927 in Douglas, Ariz., he later joined the U.S. Navy at age 17 during WW II. He then attended the University of Arizona until called into the U.S. Army where he was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. While there, he met Dottie Seyller, and after returning from Europe, they were married in 1953. In 1959, they moved with Reynolds Metals to Richmond, Va., and raised their family. During his career, he received a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in business. He retired from Reynolds in 1988. He and Dottie were avid golfers and longtime members of Salisbury Country Club, where they have many dear friends. Bill very much enjoyed spending time with his family and involving himself in all of their numerous activities. He is loved by so many and is already dearly missed by all.
His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Funeral will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
