Butch joined his mother, Phyllis A. Harris Meadows, in eternal rest.
He is survived by his soulmate, Rita Odom; his father, William E. Meadows, Sr. of Naples, Florida; his brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Audrey Meadows of Reedville, and his brother and sister-in-law, David W. and Rhonda Meadows of Chesterfield, VA; and his son, William Meadows III.
Butch was born in Richmond at Johnston Willis Hospital. Majority of his time was spent in Richmond, VA but he had a love for the water and spent a large time at a home on the Chesapeake Bay and a home on the Rappahannock River. He graduated from Manchester High School, worked at Phillip Morris and went on to partnership with his brother David and they opened Budget Glass Company 36 years ago.
Butch loved to travel. He and Rita have been to many places and had so many plans for future travel. But Butch’s greatest love was of the water and every chance he had he would boat and fish. He caught a citation Cobia and ended up in the Morning Star Fisherman’s paper.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Woody Funeral Home.
