Dorotha Faye Ferguson Jones

Dorotha Faye Ferguson Jones, 79 of Midwest City, OK, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015. Ms. Jones was a Christian, a loving mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family. Faye had a full and satisfying 36 year civilian career at Tinker Air Force Base, starting as clerk and progressed up to supervisory and management positions, and received numerous awards and accommodations. She was a charter member of Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City. She enjoyed volunteering in her community, working at the OK Travel Center in Midwest City, at the Midwest City High School Museum that she helped to organize in 2001, and at the clothing market at her church. She loved to travel and had a goal of visiting every state, which she accomplished, except for Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Edith Tole; a brother, Billy Joe Ferguson; and a sister, Nelda O’Donnell.

Survivors include her two children, Robin Jones of Midwest City, OK and Derek Jones of Moore, OK; one sister, Tine Cox of Midwest City, OK; one sister-in-law, Kat Ferguson; two grandsons, Blake Jones of Moore, OK and Matthew Purser of Moore, OK; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00A.M., Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Meadowood Baptist Church, Midwest City with Bob Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow in the Arlington Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Faye’s honor to the Meadowood Baptist Church.
