Floyd "Mark" Hill, resident of Midwest City, OK, passed away Friday evening at the age of 62. He was born June 15, 1950 to Floyd and Freida Hill.
Mark was born on Tinker Air Force base. Being born into a military family, Mark had the privilege of living at various bases both at home and abroad. At the age of 15, Mark and his family settled in Midwest City, OK, where he graduated from Midwest City High School. Upon completing school, he proudly enlisted into the United States Air Force. His enlistment in the Airforce led him to serving a year in Vietnam where he was stationed in Tanmy. After his service of duty in Vietnam was concluded, he returned to the States and completed his military service in Minot, ND.
Mark returned to Oklahoma where he began working in the cable tv industry. His career led him to Louisiana where he became manager of CMA Cable Systems. During his time there he developed many wonderful friends and family. Upon leaving CMA, Mark went to New Orleans to work the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina until 2005 when he returned to Oklahoma to care for his mother.
In 2008, Mark began working at Technical Innovative Concepts. It was there that he met the love of his life, Connie. They married July 3, 2009 and shared a magical four years together. Although their time together was brief, they shared a lifetime. They had a love that will survive eternity.
In 2009, Mark began working at Tinker Air Force Base, where he was blessed with friends that he would have also considered family.
Mark will be known for his generosity, compassion, love, humor and devout patriotism.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Freida Hill, Uncles Leslie "Doc" Blanchard and Roy Upshaw.
Mark is survived by his wife Connie, Aunt Violet Blanchard of Biloxi, MS, Aunt Orene Upshaw of Ponca City, cousin Darvin Upshaw of Edmond, cousin Greg Upshaw and wife Opal of Bartlesville, mother-in-law, Fleeda Hall of Dallas, TX, sister-in-law Karen Morin and husband Rudy of Dallas, TX, brother-in-law Brian Hall of Afghanistan, beloved step-children Clint Gholson, Erin McKenzie, and Todd, Ben and Sunni Moore. Mark is also survived by beloved family friends Fannie Waddle, Susan Hill and Elizabeth Davies.
