She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Born to Norval and Ruby Gallagher on January 10th 1940, Anne grew up with two sisters in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. She enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time with her family, and collecting dolls.
At the age of 23 she gave birth to her son, Shawn. She supported him on her own, enduring all of the difficulties that come with raising a young rowdy boy. Later in life she became a grandmother to two children, Shay and Nash. She attended every holiday and family event, ensuring that she was involved as much as she could be in her son and grandchildren's lives.
Soon after retirement, Anne was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. However, she didn't let the diagnosis stop her from living. She continued to do the things she loved; spending time with friends, shopping, seeing her family, attending church, and enjoying her retirement. She always welcomed visitors, especially when gifted with a chocolate bar or a sweet treat to snack on. She also loved dogs of any variety and would give them just as much attention as she did any other visitor. Anne had a wonderful spirit and loved her family.
She is survived by her sisters, Joan and Susan, her son Shawn, and her two grandchildren, Shay and Nash.
She will be missed dearly by all who knew her, may she rest in peace.
