Arleen Mina Whiting

Arleen Mina Whiting, a special daughter of Wayne E. and Thera Remund Whiting passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 21, 2025 of natural causes. She was 85 years old. Arleen was one of the Lord's choicest Spirits who has returned home to her Heavenly Father where she is now like everyone else. She was born on November 26, 1939, in Murray, Utah.

Arleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1958. She married Jack Harbertson in the Salt Lake Temple on October 5, 1964. Later divorced.

Arleen loved being surrounded by her stuffed animals and watching her favorite TV shows. Even though she'd seen each episode many times, she still laughed and enjoyed each one! She enjoyed doing puzzles and -playing games and traveling with her parents. She also loved being around her family and attending family events.

Arleen was lovingly cared for throughout her life by her parents, Wayne and Thera, her brother Duane and his wife Beverly, her niece Ruth and her dear friend Andy.

Arleen is survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly Whiting, her nieces and nephews; Julie (Dennis) Oyler, Scott (Jeri) Whiting, Doug (Teressa) Whiting, Ruth (Cory) Brown, Laura (Hanko) Kiessner, Amy (Mike)Astill, numerous great and great-grand nieces and nephews and her friend Andy Cravens. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Duane.

A viewing and graveside service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary and Memorial Park. Viewing will take place in the Mortuary from 10:00am-10:45am with a Graveside service to follow.
