Barbara Clarke

Barbara Garside Clarke, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the San Rafael Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ferron, Utah. Barbara was born January 26, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She had loving parents, Isabella Mackay Garside and Lionel Aaron Garside. She was the oldest of three wonderful sisters, Anita, Janice, and Pat, who all preceded her in death, and she missed them every day.

She married the love of her life, Herbert Larson Clarke on August 5, 1953, in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. They were blessed with four children, Carole, Jack, Shirley, and Cole.

She is survived by her four children, Carole (Gordon) Larsen, Jack (Nannlynn) Clarke, Shirley (Randy) Price, and Cole (Rene) Clarke. Her legacy includes, 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren with two more on the way. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Roger Pugh. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Anita Barton, Janice Flanders, and Pat Pugh; brothers-in-law, Steve Barton and Richard Flanders; and many others who were waiting there for her beyond the veil.

The family wishes to express their many thanks to her family at the San Rafael Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ferron for the loving way they have cared for our mother.

Funeral Service, Saturday, April 18, 2026, 11:00 a.m., East Millcreek Ward Chapel (4032 South 2300 East) in Holladay, Utah. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 South Highland Drive) in Salt Lake City, Utah.
