Barbara was born on December 28, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ronald Edwin Conrad and Alberta Ploeger. She was the eldest of four siblings: Pam Fossum, Gary Conrad, and Ed Conrad.
While her parents always called her Barbara, she went by "Bobby" to her extended family and friends.
Bobby graduated from Skyline High School. She married Glen S. Pearce, and together they had four children: Ron (Erin), Tina (Orin) Howell, Michael (Sasha), and Craig (Jana). Bobby and Glen later divorced. She then married Bryce Lynn Monk, who had a daughter, Tanna Rae “TR,” from a previous marriage. Before their divorce, Bobby and Lynn had three children: Carrie Morley, Bryce (Lisha) Monk, and Brian Monk. She was a devoted grandmother to 23 grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Michael Pearce and Brian Monk, and two grandchildren, T.J. and Zak Fellenz.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings throughout her life.
Bobby was an exceptional bowler, winning several trophies with her league. She loved camping, especially sitting by the fire at night, talking with loved ones. Bobby enjoyed quilting and sewing, gifting many handmade quilts to friends and family. She was also an avid canner, always making sure to bottle plenty of fruits and vegetables—often dyeing her peaches and pears to make them more fun to eat. Bobby loved puzzles, spending hours piecing them together, and even framing some as artwork. She was passionate about genealogy, compiling several family history books and submitting names for temple work.
She enjoyed working as a waitress, meeting and learning about different people. Bobby was employed by the Utah State Tax Commission for 30 years, where she formed many lifelong friendships.
