She cherished her role as a grandmother and could often be found cheering on her grandchildren at Jr. Jazz games, karate classes, and other family events.
Summer vacations at Signal Mountain held a special place in Betsy’s heart. She cherished the time spent with her family boating on the lake and taking in the breathtaking views of the Tetons.
Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, brother William “Billy” Aspden Jr, and her husband, Richard Hurty. She is survived by her loving sister, Barbara Gibbons, her children, Kristen, Tony (Ashley) and Tim (Jessa), and her grandchildren, Jayden and Ashton, her honorary daughter, Jenna, and her honorary granddaughter, Layla.
