Beverly Green

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Beverly Rae Brown Fisher Greene, passed away peacefully Friday, April 26, 2013 in South Jordan, Utah at the age of 88. She was born September 20, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to father Archie Lee Brown and mother Florence Rozella Thorne. She was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple to husband Hugh Smith Fisher on May 7, 1945; after 33 years of marriage, Hugh passed away on October 14, 1978. Beverly later married Alva Greene on March 20, 1995; he passed away on September 1, 2009. During her life, Beverly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from California State Los Angeles and took pride in teaching elementary school. She was a wonderful mother who loved her children and enjoyed homemaking, gardening, health food, traveling and being active in the LDS Church. She looked on the bright side of life and knew how to make the best of it. Beverly is survived by children David Hugh Fisher (Marilyn), Marilyn Roberts (Scott), and Gail Nielson (Brent); 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents Archie Lee Brown and Florence Rozella Thorne, husband Hugh Smith Fisher and husband Alva D. Greene. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the wonderful staff at Carrington Court in South Jordan for their compassionate and tireless care. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday May 4, 2013 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
