

Bruce Alan Andrews, 54, our devoted and beloved father, loving brother, exuberant coach, uncle and loyal friend, passed away unexpectedly from heart failure on September 15, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bruce was born April 10, 1960 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the second of four boys to John and Dorothy Andrews. Bruce attended Granite High School, was an Eagle Scout and served an LDS mission to Brussels, Belgium. He was employed with Winlectric in Salt Lake.
He married Karen Shields on July 13, 1990 and they had two sons, Stockton and Hunter. Bruce’s favorite role was that of father, coach, cheerleader and constant companion to Stockton and Hunter. Although Karen and Bruce divorced, they remained close friends and parenting partners.
Bruce is survived by his sons Stockton and Hunter and three brothers: Thomas (Debra) of Lehi; Gary (Sara) and David (Julie) of Salt Lake City; and 9 nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place from 6pm to 8pm on September 19, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S Highland Drive in Salt Lake. Funeral Services will be held at 11am, September 20th, 2014 at the Cottonwood LDS Ward, 5913 South Highland Drive in Salt Lake, with a viewing prior to the services from 10:00 am to 10:45am. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a 529 College Education Fund for Stockton and Hunter at any Chase Bank.
