

Father, grandfather, husband and brother Carroll Freeman, 93, died July 2, 2013, exactly three months after his wife Ann. He was born October 29, 1919 to Hope N. and Nancy Carroll Freeman in Macon, Georgia and grew up in Miami, Florida. He married Ann Marie Lhotan on September 16, 1944. They have two daughters, Annjanine and Gigi.
Carroll served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the Air Force from 1943-1946 as a decorated pilot. He later joined the reserves and served as a flight instructor. He and Ann traveled the world for his job an as Aeronautical Engineer. Carroll adored his grandchildren and took great joy in watching them grow up. He was so proud of the adults they have become. He was an avid storyteller and we will never forget “Grandpa and his stories,” him giving us too much ice cream, and his “big squeezes.”
Carroll is survived by Annjanine ‘AJ’ and Tom Etzel, their children Daniel Livsey, Christine Livsey, Andrew Etzel; Gigi N. and Rob Daniels, Tristan Daniels and his sister Dolores Peterson. Preceded in death by his wife Ann, and brother Hope. The family thanks the caregivers at Mt. Olympus Rehab and Symbii Hospice, who took great care of Carroll over the last 16 months.
Graveside services at Wasatch Lawn on July 8th, 2013, 10 a.m., visitation at 9 a.m.
