Our beloved Momma Kalaki, Charlene Sue Duggins Wilson, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2021 in her home, surrounded by her adoring husband and children. Char was born on April 21, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN.
She was adopted by Laverne Cantor and taken home the day of her birth. She could do no wrong by her mother who adored her. She and her mother were new converts to the LDS Church and moved to SLC when she was 12 years old. Char graduated as a nurse from the U of U and spent her career serving those with drug and alcohol addictions. She married her sweetheart, David William Wilson, on September 12, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. She had a special gift for listening with compassion and love. Mom was a lover of music and had a song for every situation. She loved camping, fishing, traveling, and finding gifts for others. She dearly loved her three grandchildren, and was so proud of each of their accomplishments. Momma has now been reunited with her loving mother and all those who she holds so dear.
Services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, SLC, 84106. Viewing is Monday 11/08/21 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral will be Tuesday 11/09/21 at 2 pm with a viewing 45 minutes prior.
