Lee was born on February 6, 1955. He was a special child with special needs, including many physical problems, and some brain damage resulting from his birth. Shortly after entering this world he found himself abandoned by his birth parents, who left him on a doorstep in a baby basket with only a blanket, a diaper, and no clothes.
Grace Parr, a social worker, and her husband, Chester L. Parr, a truck driver, both loved children and were not able to have their own. They became involved with the Foster Care program and there they met Lee. Grace and her husband, being childless, and Lee needing a home, they decided to adopt him. Clarence Lee was their only child.
Lee excelled especially in one area, his passion for sports. Lee loved to play sports. He knew the teams, players, games, and scores and was an avid U of U and Jazz fan. His subscriptions to cable and the newspaper were not wants, but the tools of his trade.
Lee graduated from West High School, completed Seminary, and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the years, he had many callings in the Church, but It was not uncommon to see him refereeing a game or operating a score board while fulfilling his responsibilities as Assistant Sports Specialist.
He worked most of his life in the Food Service Industry. Among his employers were LDS Hospital, ZCMI, University of Utah, and the Hilton Hotel.
Lee lost both of his parents while still young in life. After their deaths, Lee relied on his friends and neighbors to help him when needed and to provide social and emotional support. He would always try to return the favor.
Lee is back in the arms of his loving parents and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
