Darin A Grover passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 2, 2024 at the age of 59 in Millcreek (Salt Lake City) Utah. Darin was born in Provo, Utah on July 17, 1964 to Wells Alston Grover and Barbara Kelly Grover. Darin grew up in Utah, California, Idaho and Hawaii. The family also lived in Germany for a summer where Darin was baptized in Kaiserslautern into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He graduated from Granite High School. Darin served a mission in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He used his Spanish working with many from El Salvador, Belize and Guatemala in his construction business. He traveled often to Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and El Salvador and back to Hawaii. Darin worked on construction in Hawaii, Salt Lake City and other places and did many remodeling jobs for friends and family members. He also worked with cousins, friends and their families, teaching them many things.
Darin was a diehard BYU fan. He played the trombone in the Kahuku High School Marching Band in Hawaii. When we lived in Hawaii, he became a “native”. Fishing in the ocean with a spear, eating poi like a native, catching crabs and cooking them and of course, playing in the ocean. He would go to the beach early in the morning looking for glass balls that floated up onto the sand. He loved to fish and taught many the love of fishing.
A friend, like a brother, wrote about Darin. “You are tender towards your mother and sisters. You are generous. You are smart. You have a knack when it comes to physical things whether preparing or repairing. I trust you. You are consistent. You exude the love of Christ. You are a fiercely loyal friend.” Darin was loved by so many and was a friend to all.
Darin is survived by his mother, Barbara Kelly Grover, sister, Debbie (Mark) Glade, brother, Douglas Grover, sister, Diana Larsen, sister DeeRae (Skip) Zenger, sister, DarylAnn (Joel) Ashby and sister, Dalynne Grover.
