Together Forever
Dorothy Bockholt Harding slipped away in the early morning hours of June 5th. Her reunion with her best friend and husband, Ralph W. Harding had to be one of great jubilation.
Dorothy was born December 10, 1917 to Adrian Frederick Bockholt and Afton Louise Paul Bockholt. She was married to Ralph William Harding on August 11, 1947 (later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple October 11, 1963).
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, A. Ralph Harding (Janice) and Christopher L. Harding (Lila), as well as 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and by her sister Anna Louise Bockholt Evanson.
Dorothy was a composer, a pianist, and loved writing poetry. She taught piano for 15 years and, as part of her church service, Dorothy was a Relief Society pianist and sang in the choir in both the Grandview and Holladay 3rd Wards. She also taught cultural refinement courses for her ward.
A number of wonderful people assisted with Dorothy's care in her final years and her family is grateful for the kindness and friendship offered to her by so many. Quick with a laugh, at times feisty, but always ready to encourage people to pursue their dreams, Dorothy was a model of unconditional love for so many of her family and friends. She will be missed by many here and celebrated by many more on the other side.
