He grew up in Hunter, UT and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1980. He married his wife, Lorrie, on July 20, 1985. The greatest accomplishment in their marriage were their 3 beautiful children, Candice, Amanda, and Joshua.
Drue had a strong love for his country. Because of that, he enlisted in the Utah Air National Guard in March of 1983. He served 2 tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and retired from his 30 year military career in April of 2013.
Drue was an old country boy who enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a huge dog lover who could always be found spoiling his pups. He had a fondness for pheasants, roses, waterfalls, history, and old fashioned trains.
Drue is preceded in death by his mom, Dorothy, who must be so happy to have him with her again. He is survived by his wife, Lorrie, Daughters; Candice (Dustin) and Amanda (Justin), Son; Joshua, Dad; Harry, Brothers; Rynn (Pamela) and Shane (Ally), Sister; Robynn, 5 Grandsons; Carson, Caden, Connor, Carter, and Collin, and several other family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

A service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City with viewings on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the same location. interment will take place at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park following the services.
