Echo Ranee Layman Ryan, age 86, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her bedside on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Echo was born in Ogden, Utah on April 23, 1937 to parents, Kate and Clyde Layman.
Echo attended Saint Mary's School for Girls in Salt Lake City. She met and married Richard Kenneth Ryan on April 7, 1960 in Salt Lake City. Echo always had a big love for life, her family, and her friends. She loved to tell stories about her family to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed, and will leave a big hole in all of our lives.
Echo is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ryan; daughter, Katy (Ryan) Pounder; son, Kenneth Ryan; father and mother, Clyde and Kate Layman; and her granddaughter, Cari Robison. Survivors include her children; Pam Crowe (Tim), Scott Ryan-Hand (Cris), Tracy Ryan, Mike Ryan, (Angie), and an adopted son, Brad Alvey. She has five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life event for Echo, (Mom and Grandma) on July 14, 2024, located at 4229 South King Valley Way, West Valley City, Utah.
